Computers, Wi-Fi and Wireless Printing

  • Library computers offer Internet access as well as Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher.

  • Alsip-Merrionette Park Library District cardholders may use computers at no charge. Non-residents pay $1 for 60 minutes.

  • The library now has 2 Internet Express computers. One Internet Express computer (located near the first-floor Information Desk) is available to all adults for 15-minute sessions at no charge. (No library card required. Limit 3 sessions per day.)  The other Internet Express is located in the Youth Services Department.

  • The Youth Services Department offers computer access to patrons 17 and under. Three Caregiver Computers are available to adults who are overseeing children ages nine and under. Several Preschool Computers provide access to children's games. Contact Youth Services at 708.371.5666 x 140 for details.

  • Wi-Fi is available. To connect, choose the AMPL Public network and get the password from library staff.

  • You can print from your laptop or home computer via our WIRELESS PRINTING.

  • No technical assistance will be provided, but the library offers many books about computers and technology.
