The library has a new mobile laptop lab, thanks to a 2014-2015 Eliminate the Digital Divide grant from the IL Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity. The goal of this grant is to provide additional technology access and education to IL residents. Our library's program, entitled Technology Tools and Training, includes fifteen Windows 8.1 accessible laptops and free computer classes from September through June 2015. Click HERE for a link to a list of classes. Registration is required for all programs: 708.926-7024.

We are grateful to those who wrote support letters to help us obtain the grant: Alsip Chamber of Commerce, Worth Township, Sertoma Centre, Alsip Police Department, Meadow Lane School, Mount Greenwood Branch of the Chicago Public Library, Zeiler Management, Country House Restaurant, and O'Hara and Friends Salon.
